' SPIRIT PAINTINGS'
A 'Spirit Painting' is a creation of your own personal energy. We, as physical beings, are truly our own creation; our perception of ourselves from a spiritual point of view. We are vibrational beings just as everything in the Universe is vibrational. I believe we 'recognize' each other from that aspect and from an intuitive knowing. As we each express ourselves in our unique way, we are always projecting and receiving information to each other and the world around us.
As we all come into this physical world as 'perfect', and that is the essence we carry with us in spirit, a 'Spirit Painting' would then be a portrait of that essence of you!
Suzanne's expression of this is through art...color and form and a rendering of extentions through that vibrational energy.

I often begin this piece by either taking ahold of the individuals hands or sometimes with a handprint in paint on paper. There is old adage about an eye in the center of the hand, similar to the 3rd eye, and by shaking each other's hands, we get a glimpse of the 'whole' person. We exude in subtle ways, pieces of ourselves that are felt and sensed. This is where I try to listen in. Being 'visual', a color is a good place to start for a background, then maybe a texture...and quickly things begin to unfold in my mind's eye and I go with whatever is speaking to me. It rarely stays on the canvas but extends outward and I add as it comes to me ...words perhaps, found objects often from nature,ect. and what emerges is the resemblence of one's 'spirit.'..... I wonder what your reflection will look like?
